Albert Marquet on View at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris
Posted in Museums / Exhibits le
Until August 21, 2016, the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris will be home to Albert Marquet, a major monographic exhibition that sheds light on rare works by the famous French artist Albert Marquet (1875 – 1947).
Profoundly influenced by his friend, the Fauvist French artist Henri Matisse (1869 – 1954), since the beginning of his career, Marquet showed a great interest in Fauvism through his paintings and drawings.
The exhibition at the Musée d'Art Moderne is a not-to-be-missed opportunity for those who are interested in this early twentieth-century art movement to explore more than 100 magnificent works, among which nude female portraits are also included.
The exhibition Albert Marquet is curated by Sophie Krebs.
Our Hotel de La Motte Picquet is only a few minutes’ walk from the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.
