The French salon de thé : the Maison Angelina
The most famous Parisian tea room is a must for lovers of fine pastry. Founded in 1903 by Antoine Rumpelmayer, the cafe has kept its magical setting Belle Epoque and you can imagine Coco Chanel sipping her tea Angelina at the next table. Elected by the Tout Paris for more than a century, the address had the favors of the biggest stars of the golden age of Hollywood and remains today the favorite rendezvous of the world of haute couture. Chef Sébastien Bauer innovates every year. If the sorbets, the millefeuille with Bourbon vanilla and the St Honoré are amazing, two specialties are legendary and unrivaled: the famous Mont Blanc cake based on chestnut cream (€ 8.40), enhances the flavors of a drink of exception, the African hot chocolate (€ 7.90). It is also possible to have lunch from 11:45am to 6pm with tasty dishes around € 25.
