Posted in Museums / Exhibits le
Musée d’Orsay gives pride of place to the renowned artist Edgar Degas as well as to his friend the French writer Paul Valéry in an exceptional exhibition that will be running until February 25th, 2018.
Through Valéry’s art book “Degas, Danse, Dessin” which was published in 1937 and a variety of archival documents, drawings and sculptures by Degas, the exhibition which holds the same title of the book is one of the best opportunities that you will ever get to discover Degas’ talent in depicting dancers and equitation–two of the major subjects that he was most keen on depicting.
These two major themes will be deeply explored by linking some extracts from the writer's book to the masterpieces of his friend, focusing on Valéry search for line and movement in this great artist's work.
To attend the exhibit and enjoy exploring the different works on display, you can book your ticket either at the museum or online, on the official website of the museum.
Musée d'Orsay is located within a twenty minutes' walk from our Hotel de la Motte Picquet.
