Enjoy A Christmas Vacation With The Kids In Paris

Paris is slowly getting back to normal. We aren’t there yet, but things are getting closer. That means that we can plan for a responsible Christmas vacation with the kids and still enjoy Paris at its most resilient.

Christmas in Paris 2020 is still going to be a magical experience.

We can let go of all the cancellations and focus on the things to do with kids that Covid couldn’t take from us. There is nothing to stop us taking a walk as a family in the crisp December air and marvelling at all the festive lights and department store windows. There is a little extra cheer in the air this year. There are also plenty of stalls and the odd market in town to help warm you up afterwards with some hot chocolate and other treats. For an unforgettable family activity, why not go skating with views of the Eiffel Tower, or go on a lantern safari at Zoo de Thoiry?

If you plan to spend a little longer in Paris on Christmas vacation, with your celebrations heading into the New Year. You can plan some fun days out and let the kids stay up past their bedtime to watch the fireworks over the city. There may not be an official gathering for 2020, but you can still head out to the perfect spot and make memories. Kids with a sweet tooth – so all kids – may also enjoy a treat of galette des rois during the Epiphany celebrations between January 1st and 4th.

Be cautious and realistic but still hopeful and festive.

Christmas in Paris 2020 is going to be unique, but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. This can be the year where you make the most of the small moments and little joys. Appreciate the little things to do with kids you may have taken for granted in 2019 and watch Paris shine this winter.
