We are all going to have to make a lot of sacrifices in the coming months as we deal with social distancing during Coronavirus. One of these issues is the inability to get out and attend exhibitions, shows and other cultural events in the heart of Paris. However, all is not lost as there are ways that we can still get our cultural fix from home.
Some of the city’s biggest names, including the Louvre and Paris Opera, are looking at ways of entertaining and educating people online. The Louvre has a great virtual tour on offer where you can explore the artwork by clicking on this link and pretend you are back at the gallery. The Paris Opera aims to stream Don Giovanni, Swan Lake and the Barber of Seville for free on their own site and Culturebox.
Virtual tours could become the new way to view art in Paris for a while and hopefully, many other establishments will take advantage of this soon.
