Help Kids Discover the Sound of Charlie Chaplin at the Philharmonie de Paris !
Posted in Museums / Exhibits le
There will be some kids today that aren’t aware of the actor Charlie Chaplin. Those that are aware may not fully appreciate his work because the silent area is so far removed from the surround sound and CGI-infused IMAX experience of today. Now, there is almost too much sound to appreciate the nuances of acting and storytelling. The silent era was subtle but, listen more closely and you can make out all the sounds that Chaplin made and heard. There is enough translated through the screen to engage the audience.
The new show at the Musée de la Musique in Paris is the perfect chance to teach children about this gift that Chaplin had. The family-friendly exhibition gives visitors the chance to learn more about him through different mediums and interactive elements. There is even an area where kids can come and dress as The Tramp. You can do so until January 26th.
