Learn About American Views On Nature At L’Atelier de la Nature
Posted in Museums / Exhibits le
The Musée des Impressionnismes Giverny and Terra Foundation for American Art have teamed up to create an interesting show called “L’Atelier de la Nature”. This translates as Nature’s Studio and allows visitors a chance to see some impressive pieces of work in the impressionist style with a link to nature. A lot of these pieces relate to American landscape painting between 1860 and 1920, with 90 pieces in total on loan. This is an interesting opportunity to see something a little different than French works of nature or gardens.
The show looks at different themes, including artistic influence, national identity and our relationship with nature. There are also additional pieces from the USA and other French institutions for further insight and context. Doors are already open and you can see this exhibition until the 3rd of January. Don’t miss out as these pieces may not be in the country again any time soon.
