Until August 21st, 2017, the Musée de l’Orangerie will be presenting an exhibition highlighting the masterpieces from the collection Ishibashi at the Bridgestone Museum.
Featuring a selection of some of the collection’s finest pieces, the exhibition is really a not-to-be-missed one. It holds stunning works by popular artists like Renoir, Monet, Caillebotte, Matisse, and Picasso, in addition to others by renowned European and Japanese art figures.
The Ishibashi collection is the fruit of the Japanese businessman Shōjirō Ishibashi’s great passion for arts, most notably Western arts. It holds more than 2600 works and today considered one of the most important art collections in the world.
